These book tabs have been specifically designed to assist you in passing the State of Florida construction and electrical licensing business exam. These tabs allow you to quickly locate relevant sections in this very large book.

The Florida Construction Manual is separated into 10 Chapters relating to conducting business in the State of Florida.

Unfortunately, there is no master index or individual Chapter indexes in this book which make it extremely difficult to quickly find the answers to the exam questions. However, by using these tabs you’ll save valuable time in locating the answers which gives you more time to answer those difficult exam questions before your allotted exam time expires.

How the system works: Included in your tab packet are bottom page tabs and side page tabs. The bottom page tabs (10) represent the book’s Chapter headings. These tabs are placed on the bottom of the book pages at the beginning of each Chapter. These bottom tabs will help you quickly locate the relevant Chapters in the book. The side page tabs (56) are more specific and are based on individual sections in the Chapter headings and they help you to quickly locate the relevant subsection of the Chapter where the answer to the exam question is located.

Beware: Don’t fall for the notion “the more book tabs the better off you are”.  This is simply not the case. You need to be able to read what the tab says and do it quickly. More tabs means very small tabs with abbreviated words. To many tabs are overwhelming and you’ll spend all your valuable time reading your tabs trying to find a tab instead of the answer. Remember time is your biggest enemy.  You must maximize the amount of time you have available by finding the answers to the questions as quickly as possible. The Florida Contractors Manual already comes with very large Chapter heading side tabs. These must be removed or you won’t see the other tabs which are under them. The Power Learning tab kit allows the removable of the side Chapter heading tabs which frees up the side of the book to be used for only the subsection tabs.  Then included in the kit are new Chapter heading tabs which are placed at the bottom of the book.  I’ve passed both the Florida electrical and construction business exam with these tabs and then updated them based on those experiences.
